Creating a Trust
Why I Talk About Trusts (Even Though I’m Not an Attorney)
Let me be upfront: I’m not an attorney, and I don’t get paid to draft trusts. But after helping hundreds of people navigate Medicare, retirement income, and Social Security planning, I’ve come to believe that most people should have a trust in place—plain and simple.
Why? Because I’ve seen what happens when someone passes without one: family confusion, unnecessary court delays, and assets tied up in probate that could’ve easily been avoided. A simple trust can provide privacy, control, and peace of mind—not just for you, but for the people you care about most.
Even though I don’t earn a dime by helping you set one up, I still bring it up—because that’s the kind of advisor I strive to be. I want to help in every way that truly matters, not just the parts I get paid for. The same goes for Social Security—I guide clients through that process because I know how much it can impact your long-term financial security.
And honestly, I believe in something simple: what goes around, comes around. If I can help bring clarity, confidence, and useful insights to your life, maybe you’ll see the value in working with me when it comes to other areas—like tax-efficient income strategies, asset protection, and making your retirement enjoyable.
If you’re ready to take a smart step forward, let’s talk about whether a trust makes sense for your situation. We can meet in person or virtually to go over your goals and concerns. Since I’m not an attorney, I won’t be pushing anything—but if we agree that a trust could benefit your family, I’ll help get the process started with a trusted legal partner.

Nevada is considered one of the best states for Trusts (Even If You Don’t Live in Nevada)
You don’t need to live in Nevada to take advantage of its trust laws—and that’s a game changer for families across the country.
Nevada is widely regarded as one of the most trust-friendly states in the country for several reasons:
What Makes Nevada Trusts Stand Out?
- No state income tax on trust assets
- Strong asset protection—even from future creditors or lawsuits
- No requirement for court supervision
- Ability to create long-term (dynasty) trusts that last up to 365 years
- Decades of case law supporting trust flexibility and privacy
- Total digitization of trust documents and processes
Even if you live in Connecticut or any other state, you can set up a Nevada Trust remotely. This allows you to benefit from stronger privacy and protection laws than what may be available locally.
Working with a Law firm that specializes in Trusts
To streamline and simplify the trust process, I work with a Law firm that specializes in creating Trusts.
They’ve created a digitally optimized platform for creating and maintaining trusts—eliminating the need for paper binders or lawyer’s offices full of dusty files.
- Your trust is fully digital, with secure access for you and your trusted family members
- Updates and changes can be requested easily as life evolves
- You’ll have a team of licensed attorneys handling the legal drafting and compliance
- I help coordinate the process and guide you from start to finish
This system helps ensure your trust is organized, accessible, and up-to-date—without the confusion or hassle most people expect.
How I Fit Into the Process
I’m not an attorney, and I don’t get paid to draft Trusts. But I do believe a Trust is one of the most important tools you can have to:
- Avoid probate
- Protect your privacy
- Provide for your loved ones
- Avoid unnecessary court delays or family disputes
I help guide you through the Trust process and if everything makes sense I will put you in touch with the team that will create and help you fund a Trust.
